Alumnus has been working with a global network equipment leader to transform their solutions to operate in the cloud. Over five years, the on-premise application orchestrators were taken to the cloud, and transformed into a multi-tenant orchestrator. This included:
- Re-engineering the Central server components to operate with the distributed Appliances that are installed on Edge devices.
Additionally, we also enabled:
- Converting the Edge device as Virtual Appliances running on server blades.
- The scope of the orchestrator was expanded to manage partner devices using NFV/ SDN.
The transformation now enables the cloudified orchestrator to operate as an SD-WAN based solution.
